Frequently Asked Questions
Common Questions, Straight Answers
What workers, referrers and GPs ask before a program starts.
Work Conditioning is for injured workers: a gymnasium-based program built around the injury and the demands of the job, aimed at a safe return to work. Active Conditioning is general exercise physiology for chronic disease, illness and aged care: diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis, falls prevention, brain injury and more. Same accredited team, different goals.
If a condition has lasted, or is expected to last, at least six months, you may be eligible under the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) scheme: up to five Medicare-rebatable exercise physiology sessions per calendar year. Your GP completes the CDM plan and referral; we take it from there. Terms and conditions apply, so ask us or your GP about your situation.
Employers, insurers, GPs, specialists, physiotherapists, case managers and individuals themselves. Download the relevant referral form, use the online referral, or call (02) 8543 5800 and we will take the details over the phone.
Wherever works for the person: dedicated gymnasium spaces, hydrotherapy pools, local gyms, aged care facilities, the workplace or the home. We deliver across NSW and Victoria, with partner programs arranged nationally.
Musculoskeletal injuries including spinal disc injuries, rotator cuff, post-arthroscopy knees, mechanical lower back pain and overuse strains; and chronic conditions including diabetes, heart disease, cancer recovery, osteoporosis, psychological illness, stroke and acquired brain injury.
